I absolutely adore the personal touches and especially love the pictures of the kids with their favorite books. So cute! She was able to use an existing piece and restyled the shelves with the family's book collection. Stacking and placing books both vertically and horizontally is an easy way to make a boring bookshelf a little more interesting.
The fabric she chose to custom-cover the chairs is so sweet and chic! Love!
The table to the left of the couch resembles a card catalogue and can be used to store CD's, books, and DVD's. A very authentic touch for a modern library!
I could not be happier with my first e-design! What do you think?
Very beautiful. I may need a consult on my library when the time comes. Still down to studs but I have a meeting this week with a carpenter who is building shelving, I know the window treatment fabric I'm using, and I think I know the wall color...I need a discerning eye. Can we talk?
ReplyDeleteThis is hands down my favorite room in the house. Funny story about the pics-- my daughter saw those ones of her reading and she begged for me to hang them instead her room. Luckily I found a really cute picture to hang in their place so now we are both happy. Since this photo was taken I've hung some antique keys and a few more pieces of art. THANK YOU SO MUCH! You have great taste and wonderful ideas.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you love it as much as I do, Michelle! Can't wait to see it in person one day :)
