Stainless and Bronze...

It has become a question I should have the answer to recorded to play for clients on my iPhone.  Is it okay to mix stainless steel and bronze in a kitchen?  I, personally, am not matchy-matchy, but prefer to get a feel for the client's taste.  I usually follow up their question with more questions.  It is important to consider other factors such as the color of your cabinets and walls, countertop material and finish, floor type, and anything else you may want to be a focal point.

My thought is, if you are incorporating warm tones in other places, why not your light fixtures?  Stainless has become such a neutral tone in the kitchen, I really don't know why it should take precedence as the finish to match.  Let the jewelry of the room take center stage!

If you have a stainless steel sink, you most likely are going with a brushed nickel faucet.  But if you have a cast iron, fireclay, or composite sink that is a color rather than a metal, bronze seems to be the winner.

There are so many great options out there in terms of finishes and looks, don't limit yourself or overthink in terms of matching!

Do you have a favorite look in the kitchen?  Clean and simple?  Rustic?  Modern?
