Nursery Link Party!

I am so sorry to be MIA lately; we have been working on lots of projects and doing some serious party planning in the Cooley house.  I will of course share them all with you as soon as I have a minute to breathe!

I am sharing the link to my nursery today over at A La Mode for Shelli's link party!  Check out lots of other fabulous nurseries as well.  See you there!

Show A Little Love For The UK

I first became fascinated with all things British when my two girlfriends and I were twelve years old and OBSESSED with the England-based alternative band, Bush.  I am not sure if we were more into the music or Gavin Rossdale, but my love for the UK has never slowed its roll.  I was given a ten day trip for my high school graduation by my parents and got to experience the architecture, fashion, and history of England first hand.  Over the past couple of years, the flag has grown in popularity and claimed its fame in the world of interior design.

Now, eleven years later, I am still obsessing over all of the Union Jack designs popping up all over and considering using it as the inspiration for Grayson's "big boy" room that I probably won't even start decorating for another year.  Check out these amazing Kohler print ads for their new Tresham collection...AMAZING.

I am digging everything from the Union Jack area rugs, to the gallery wall, to the claw foot tub, to the pink Hunter boots!  There are no words.

And, as always, here are some cute Etsy finds:

Anyone else with me on this love?  You can't deny the red, white and blue!

Missoni Madness

Apparently I should have taken a lunch break today.  Or even a breakfast break.  I guess rolling to Target number one at 6:30 pm and Target number two at 8:30 pm was too little, too late.  In case you forgot, today was the day Missoni dropped at Target.

I dragged the fam through the women's department, baby girl department, shoes and home decor in search of the coveted zig zags.  I scored an adorable cropped sweater for Olivia, plum pillow for the family room, and sweater for me!

Believe me, the racks were bare and the sizes were picked over.  Some of the racks were empty, so I am not sure if they just haven't been stocked yet or if they are completely sold out.  Something tells me it is the latter, because today Target's website actually crashed!  Outing number two (solo after the babes were asleep) scored a votive candle holder, sweater dress, and two picture frames!

What I love about this collection is that it screams cool, chic, and casual - what I love.  I'll take a touch of glamour for prices I can afford any day.  I really hope this isn't the last high fashion designer for Target to pick up.  Alright, I'm off to make a list of things for my husband to scout out on his lunch break tomorrow at Target number three...

MASTER BEDROOM: Tres Chic

Although I was sad for our friends to move a couple of hours north on 95, I jumped at the chance to help out with their beautiful new home!  We started by establishing the color palette before they even moved in so that their painter could get a head start.  Of course, I relied on Benjamin Moore to offer up timeless and neutral colors throughout the main living spaces of the home.  I can't wait to see the finished product in person!

On to bigger things...the MASTER SUITE!  Their previous master bedroom in Richmond housed brand new, rich mahogany furnishings and a deep blue wall color.  She wanted this bedroom to feel light and airy and more serene.  I hope the soft green and blues bring serenity to this expecting mother of two!

What colors bring you serenity and a sense of calm?  Is that how you imagine your dream master suite to be?

Rachel Zoe & Missoni meets Target

Or should I say, Tarz-jay?  That's how my girfriends and I refer to Target.  It sounds much fancier that way.  In honor of Rachel Zoe's Season Four premiere tonight, I thought I should jump on the bandwagon and give you a preview of the Missoni collection that will soon be stocking the shelves of your local store.

Why Rachel Zoe?  Because she is Missoni's biggest fan.  Missoni is quite the family owned, high quality, all things fashion company.  If you aren't already familiar with their high end runway looks and home fashions, be in the know this September.  In the words of Rachel: I die!
